Holiday Fun With Popcorn

Happy holidays, fellow popcorn enthusiast! Do you enjoy making festive popcorn garland? Growing up, more yummy pieces found their way into my mouth than onto the string. (Are you even surprised?!)

Do you plan on singing carols this year? At our house, we changed the words to a holiday favorite, Deck the Halls. These new lyrics add popcorn to the song's festive mix:

‘tis the season to munch popcorn!
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Afffffffter that, we’ll munch more popcorn!
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
What is that? An empty bowl-owl?
It’s a good — thing I popped — more for ya!

Already this season, I've been in the popcorn lab, mixing up batches of holiday favorites: Maple Candy Cane and the eggnog inspired PopNog. Since childhood, these have remained my two favorite holiday treats.

And can you believe these scrumptious flavors are also vegan? I'm thrilled to craft caramel using organic coconut oil instead of butter. Producing these special caramel flavors requires more time and attention, but the outcome makes it all worthwhile.

With four caramel flavors available this season, I'm thinking about creating an all-caramel variety pack. Hmm....
